These USB keys provide a virtual orchestra to back your performance, so you'll sound like a pro regardless of your playing level. All you need to do is play the melody! Of course, you are free to embellish all you want.
Not only do they help you sound really great, but they are also a wonderful practice tool. For The Best Songs Ever and Pop/Rock '80s, your "orchestra" is provided via Standard MIDI Files, allowing you to practice left hand, right hand, and pedals independently. All the progressive teachers recommend learning "interactively," because you develop a wonderful sense of musical context…and much better timing, without having to really work at it.
The Glee backing tracks are provided via audio recordings, so you'll also have a chance to try the unique audio file playback features provided on the smaller Atelier models.
With the Music Atelier you can control playback tempo, and even change keys whether you are playing a MIDI or audio format backing track. This will be an even bigger advantage if you decide to sing along with your performance! Of course, MIDI data keys also include the lyrics, which will display on your instrument.
