For those of you that have not had the opportunity to play one of the new “Artist Edition” models, OTP +Plus is a new feature that allows you to pre-select your favorite categories of sounds, so they’re always ready for you to enjoy in presets five through 12.
They are much like “general preset” banks arranged in categories like “Favorites,” “Ensemble” and “Theatre,” with great registrations designed to work seamlessly with whatever music style and OTP setting you have selected.
Now, for the first time, you can enjoy the versatility of using all 12 presets with Roland’s “One Touch Play” settings.
These registrations will enhance your performance whether you choose to play with one-finger chords, three-finger chords, or full left hand (with counter melodies, etc.) and pedals.
The new system is designed to add to the playing enjoyment for even the most proficient players!
It’s easy to get started:
OTP +Plus settings are stored in the “User” area of registration.
To access the various categories, simply touch “Registration” in the screen.
By default, you will be taken to the “User” area of registration and the categories will be displayed.
Simply touch the category of your choice to highlight it, and then touch “Load” and your choice is now programmed into presets five through 12.
Now, choose a music style and touch “One Touch Play.” (just like always)
Now you’re ready to go with 12 great presets!
Presets 5 – 12 will remain until you change them, so there’s no need to load them for each song.
Just choose another music style and you’re ready for your next performance, but with OTP +Plus you have the added versatility of 12 presets (with lower splits already assigned) for every song.
Hint: Many people leave “Favorites” loaded 90% of the time. They’re really great sounds!
