How To Convert A CD Track To A .WAV File
WAVE File Format is a file format for storing digital audio (.wav) data. We have the ability on the AT-900 / AT-800 to play .wav files through the USB port on the organ. Wav files have the same audio quality as a CD.
To Load A .WAV File
- Press song in the composer section
- Select External memory
- Select the song you wish to hear
You can take a song from your own CD collection and create a .wav file by using iTunes or you can purchase a .wav file using iTunes Plus.
To Save Your Audio CD To iTunes
- Insert your CD into your computer CD drive
- Click on “open using iTunes”
- You will be asked is you would like to import the CD into your I-Tune’s library – click “yes”
To Convert A Song From iTunes To A .WAV File
- Open iTunes
- Highlight the song you want to convert
- Right click and select “convert to .wav”
NOTE: Prior to the first song you convert, you will need to set the preferences in your iTunes program. (You only have to do this once)
- Select the “EDIT” tab
- Click on “Preferences”
- Click on “advanced”
- Click on “Importing”
- Change the “Import Using” tab to “WAV Encoder”
To Transfer Your .WAV File To USB
- Insert your USB Key into your computer travel drive
- Open the Start Menu and click on “My Music”
- Double click to open the iTunes folder
- Double click to open the iTunes Music folder
- Single click to highlight the song you wish to send to the USB Key
- Right click and select “Send To”
- Select your USB key
Important Information Regarding .WAV Files
- It is illegal to share a .wav file – you must be able to prove you have purchased the audio CD or the iTune
- .wav files do not do digi-score
- The expression pedal has no effect on an audio file – you control the volume by using the accompaniment / smf volume
