WELCOME
It’s been an amazing first quarter in the world of Atelier! As you saw in our last issue, the NAMM show was our opportunity to meet with dealers from across the nation (and around the world) to share all the exciting new products and programs for 2010. The new “Artist Edition” models AT-800, AT-900, and AT-900CU were met with overwhelming enthusiasm, and dealers couldn’t wait to share these new models with our mutual friends and customers. We booked an aggressive national tour to show these exciting new models but, frankly, demand for the new models has been so high that we’ve had to slow down the tour to allow production to catch up. If we haven’t been to your local dealer to showcase the new models, we’ll be there soon. The consensus is that the new “Artist Edition” models are well worth the wait!
February saw the semi-final events of Atelier Organ Fest in Orlando, FL, and Las Vegas, NV. Selected from more than 400 contestants in various divisions, the top 55 contestants won all-expense-paid trips to the semi-final events where they competed for a chance at top honors in Los Angeles on March 13th. I hope you will take a moment to read the Organ Fest article in this issue but, on a personal basis, I want to say how proud I am of all the performers at every level of this year’s events. The improvement in performance confidence and musicianship was outstanding. All of us at Roland had such a great time at every Organ Fest event, and we are inspired to see how much joy music brings to so many people.
As we seemingly race through spring and head into summer, there are Atelier clinics and concerts scheduled across the country. Many dealers are also hosting Roland “Extravaganza” events. We hope you will check with your local dealer, and plan to attend the next Roland event in your area. There’s never a dull moment when the Roland gang is around!
Thanks for being part of our Atelier family. All of us at Roland look forward to seeing you soon.
Musically yours,
–Rick Morales
