There's exciting news for Festival 2012!
Local events in an exciting new format will start July 5th, and will be held through September 15th.
In the past, there has been an "ominous" panel of judges at the local events and frankly, that made some of our folks very nervous. We've heard stories of sleepless nights and way too much anxiety.
This year's Festival will invite participants to perform for their friends in a positive and friendly environment. No stress… no reason to be anxious, but a wonderful opportunity to showcase your talent and potentially win trips and prizes.
Each local event will be held at a select Atelier dealer, and hosted by your Atelier representative. As has been the case in the past, there will be two youth divisions, two adult hobbyist divisions, and a professional division.
Entry forms are downloadable here or may be obtained from your local dealer. We ask that you submit your entry form at least 10 days prior to your local event.
Performances will be recorded, but you as the performer can choose whether or not to submit your video for judging and the national competition. If you do enter your video performance in the national competition, you can choose to receive a written evaluation by our panel of judges...or not. This is a great opportunity for those who really want a professional critique.
Local winners will be notified within 30 days of the event, and awards will be presented to the winners in each category.
Our panel of judges will invite selected outstanding performers to compete for cash awards in the National Finals. This year's finalists will compete in beautiful Hillsboro, OR (just outside of Portland) and treated to a VIP tour of the factory where Roland Atelier and Rodgers organs are built.
